Ask:
renal pelvis cancer-stage
Hello.
I am 50yr old male who just had a kidney removal. they found out that I had renal pelvis cancer. The thing is that the doctor thinks taht it was in early stage, but I've seen blood in my urine(asymptomatic hematuria) for over a year now... doesn't this mean that the cancer has been there for over a year and therefore has spread? I am scared to death... could someone please help me out?
thank you

Sorry to hear of your cancer. We are told blood in the urine should always be investigated. I'm not a Dr., what does your Dr. say on this for a year now and are you receiving an chemo etc.? I would ask him outright his opinion.

Thank you for the reply!
They have been investigating my hematuria, and it was after a year that they finally figured it out... I was completely shocked... a whole year... my doctor believes that cancer hasn't spread, but it's been a year... I feel hopeless....
