Ask:
genital warts
I just recently found out that my husband has an issue with warts on his genitals. He was in a bad car accident and we haven't been sexually active in quite awhile so I had no idea.
The research that I have done online tells me that genital warts is a STD caused by HPV. We have been together for 8 years and he insists that he has been faithful.
My questions is...Is it possible that he could have been infected several years ago (8 or more) and have had no signs or symptoms until now?
Or another explanation that he tried to give me was that because he has a history of warts (planters warts on feet, had cluster warts removed from hands) and has a wart on his hand that it could have been transfered to his genitals when he urinates because he holds himself with the wart hand - is that possible or far fetched?
Any advice or explanations is greatly appreciated. I am confused and concerned about my health as well as my husbands.
Thank you very much.

HPV can be carried for many years, somtimes a lifetime without symtoms. See your gyn immediatly, it causes cancer in woman.
