Last night I 'lightly' bumped my knuckle on one of my fingers and it swelled immediately about the size of the tip of my pinky finger. It took about three hours for it to go down, but overnight it still is swollen and bruised. I cannot bend my finger all the way yet and this happened about 13 hours ago. Someone told me this is a sign of RA (which I do have in my family) but I thought I would get some opinions and do some research before going to a Dr. I've attachd pictures for you to see what it did. The first picture with the bump was taken not even 5 minutes after this happened, the second picture is from this morning and the whole finger is now showing bruising. The bump was immediate. What do you think?

Looks like a bad sprain to me. if you can bend it maybe its not broken. Are you going to your dr. to be sure?
