Scar tissue from Tonsillectomy???

Ask:
Scar tissue from Tonsillectomy???
I had my tonsils taken out a year ago April, and for about two months now I've had ALOT of pain when swallowing. I went to my ENT Dr. yesterday and he mentioned that I have scar tissue building up, (which can sometimes happen) and its creating a gully where food and gods knows what else is collecting, and seems to be causing ulcers. So I am most likely going to need surgery AGAIN to remedy this.
My question here is does anyone know if this is common? or did my Dr. botch my surgery?
BTW: having you're tonsils taken out during adulthood is...HORRIBLE.... I was out of work for TWO months, and was not able to eat properly for about 4 months. So you can imagine why the idea of more surgery is not making me happy.
Thanks.

You may need surgery to remove the scar tissue, esp. with food etc getting lodged and could cause infection. Inquire from your surgeon and ask him what is the best treatment. Many people tend to grow scar tissue but when its a problem say in your throat it needs to be fixed.

thanks for your response. I know I'm going to need surgery, cause your right, I dont want food collecting back there. BUT my main question was, is this normal? or did my Dr. mess something up? It only happened on one side.....
Thanks
