my husband hasnt been feeling well for some time now,, he has been having shrp pains in his lower left side of his back, and feeling stomach sick, we took him to emergency and they tested him for everything, but found nothing? his family dr said she thinks he has a torn back muscle, but why would this make him stomach sick? i dont understand,, if theres anyone that has the same symptoms or has any insite, pls reply...thank you.. chrissy

Hi Chrissy, thanks for your question. From the short description, one thing comes to mind, kidney stones or urinary tract stones. Of course, there are various other possible causes. As they've tested for everything as you said, I'm sure they've considered that, and they've surely checked for other possible causes, too. If your doctor thinks it's a torn back muscle, maybe it's that. If it persists and the stomach sickness also continues, he should see the doctor again.

thank u so much for ur advise, like i had said before,, they tested him for pretty much everything,, and they found no stones,, but i wouldnt think like i said that a torn back muscle would make u feel sick to ur stomach? Is it possible that they may have missed a stone in the catscan? the pain is on the left side right below the ribs,, and is almost a constant dull pain with sharp ones every now and then, and seems to bother him more when he moves around? if u have anymore advise it would be greatly appreciated or if anyone else has any info on this,, pls reply....thank u so much,,, chrissy
