Ask:
Fainting & Neck stiffness
Recently, one morning, I fainted and remained unconscious for just a few minutes. After coming to, I was feeling very weak. I went to bed. I woke to realise my neck was a little stiff. Although I could move my arms, I could not raise them to my shoulder level. I felt weak for 2-3 days after that and slept a lot during this time - with little appetite. I was fine after those 2-3 days, and have been active as normal since. Is this episode a cause for worry; should I be seeing a doctor about this?

Fainting & Neck stiffness
Hi HD,
How long ago did this episode occur? If I were you, I would definetly go see a doctor, especially if this was very recently. Anytime you are unconcious, especially for a few minutes, it usually warrants an evaluation, just to be on the safe side. Did you lose any bladder or bowel control during the attack? Did you have any fever? There are many causes for fainting, and while most are benign, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get evaluated. All the best!
