Ask:
recurrent burning, sore sensation, please help?
Hi,
For probably the last couple of years, I have been having episodes of this strange, burning sensation on the skin on the side of my face, which is very sensitive to touch. There is no rash at all, even though it feels as though it should be bright red.
These episodes have been becoming more frequent, and are now covering a much larger surface area, aswell as lasting for longer, (most recent has been 10 days and still going on, changes in severity during it's course)
This most recent episode has occurred all the way down the back of my left leg and all over my foot.(first time to happen there)
When I have it in my face the pain sensation causes my eye to twitch.
I don't seem to have any problem with my moter reflexes or blurred vision or fatigue - any ideas would be greatley appreciated
Thx
Calla

Hi Carla,
I recommend seeing your doctor about this. There are many possible causes, and a physical+neuro examination is needed before any attempts at diagnosis can be made. Such symptoms cannot be assessed online, especially with no knowledge of medical history and no possibility to perform a physical.

Thank you for your reply, Docter Joshua.
I have been to see my GP about this and she examined me and all seemed to be in order, she does not seem too worried, but she did mention MS, which has freaked me out a little! She has reffered me to a neurologist. However he is away and I have to wait for him to get back, as he is the only one in the country where I live - hence me writing to you.
I will take your advice and hold off all my worries until I have been to see him.
Many thanks again
Calla

thank you docter Joshua for your reply,
I have been to see my Docter and she examined me and referred me to a neurologist - so I will wait until I have seen him before I begin to get too worried! I am just hoping it is a pinched nerve!
Many thanks
Calla
