I guess I'd better start with my medical history. I'm a 19 year old female. I have temporal lobe epilepsy (last grand mal was Nov. of 2005), PCOS, and Insulin Resistance. I take Metformin and Lamictal. The last couple of weeks have been difficult to say the least. My boyfriend and I are getting really frustrated. I have been having terrible headaches, nausea, and dizziness. That is how all of this started. Recently, however, I have been experiencing fainting spells and petite mal seizures. I was taken to the ER two days in a row (once by ambulance). I am really starting to get frightened. The ER doctors never told me the results of my blood tests, so I don't know if it's some sort of infection. I'd really like to live to go to med school. If I can't figure this out, I might just jump off a cliff (even though there are none in my immediate vicenity!) I'd also like to note that I have done a ton of research, and I have come up empty handed.
PLEASE HELP! I'M GETTING DESPERATE!

I was curious besides blood work did the Er do an MRI of your brain or anything eles. Try to stay calm. I think I would go to the Dr. that is prescribing your Lamictal (seizure medication). He should be aware of your changes and symptoms. Maybe he will adjust or change your seizure medication, or refer you a neurologist for furth testing and treatment. This way you can find out if this is more seizure activity or another disease process. Good Luck and let us know.:smile:

I was finally able to see my family doctor. He ordered an eeg to see if this is seizure related. If nothing shows up, or if I have more symptoms, he will order more tests.
