Is there an alternative to bleaching your hair?

Ask:
Ummm I have natural black hair(asian guy, so typical) anyways I want to dye my hair to reach a certain brown, this brown to be exact
I have tried to dye it brown before, but it shows up brown under the sunlight, and it looks black if I’m indoors. Right now my hair is black still. I have bought some “Ultra Light Natural Blonde” dye, and well my mom got to it before I did, and she showed me the results on her head, and it doesn’t look any different. Should I get a different type of blonde? instead of natural? Or should I bleach my hair…I really don’t want to put my hair through any torture, nor my head, so I want to avoid bleaching in anyway possible. Is there any other solution?

Answer:
you have to bleach it then dye it, otherwise its not gonna change cuz your natural color is so dark.
Answer:
yes bleach your hair and then die it brown I'm latin and have dark hair and well i have dark brwn hair and I bleached then died mine and the color came out NICE, if you'd like i have a picture......
Answer:
oops im sorry i didnt see the YOU DIDNT WANT TO BLEACH nevermind sorrry!
Answer:
Any "lightener" will have some level of bleach. It is safe to bleach and color. Just don't repeat bleaching and keep color limited. Look up color theory for hair, or hair coloring techniques. You can also look for asian color techniques, it might be helpful as hair types differ from race to race.
