Heres a quick way for beginners to clear their mind before they learn meditation. Lay down in a dark quiet place. Imagine a black board. Every time a thought goes in your head erase it with an imaginary eraser. 9 times out of 10 you will just fall asleep. To relax, start with your feet and imagine them being heavy like cement. next your legs torso hands head. Dont move to the next body part until you tried to convince yourself they are cement. After your head think about sinking in the bed. Then think about rising above it. When you mastered both these things, you can easily learn to meditate with ease.
