I am notorious for putting my "piles of stuff" in the closets when I know company is coming. Most of it is mail and magazines/catalogs that I have not had a chance to look through yet. I should probably just throw it away instead of hiding my piles.

I really only have 1 stack that gets put in a drawer if I know people are coming over- otherwise I have to say- my house is pretty much always straigtened. I hate clutter!

That's exactly what I do. Usually nothing important is in there which is good because I often don't drag it out and actually look at it for a few months! I try to get as much stuff actually put where it's supposed to be but there always seems to be that last pile or two that I can't get to before people are coming over that just gets shoved away.

Lets just say that when anyone comes over...beware when you open a closet!! My closets really needs to be organized...once that is done, I'd be fine!

Whenever we have parties or people over, we'll carry all our junk upstairs and pile it on my bed or in my bathroom. Sometimes I'll even lock the door then to MAKE SURE that no one can get in and spy my hidden "treasures".

If I have enough warning I will pick up the little messes lying around like dirty clothes or whatever and throw them in the bath tub and close the curtain if I don't have time to put them away befor esomeone gets here. But I usually try to pick them up daily.

my hallway closet is pertty full, i have two cupboards that are pretty much teh junk from on top of mymicrowave, and i just cleaned out mybedroom closet. i hide lots of stuff in my closets or cupboards especially when company is coming over lol. its just easier that way.

I have been known to throw stuff on top of the washer and dryer just to get it out of the way (I don't have a closet downstairs)...But that is usually when Company comes, if I haven't gotten to clean up..

I do daycare and have to have things picked up daily before they get here. I do have a desk that everything goes on, bedroom stairs behind a door, and also the laundry room. I don't go for perfection, but I don't like my junk piles out in the open even for myself. It sits in the back of my mind until I have time to clean it up otherwise.
