HTH and CONGRATS!
Answer:
One of my friends swore by motion/sea sick bands that you wear on your wrist. Not sure where you would get them, though.
Answer:
I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum with both of my sons. Non-stop vomiting, hospitalizations from dehydration, weight loss. Check this website here: and see if you're experiencing the same symptoms, if so, notify your doctor. HG isn't the same as "morning sickness" so a lot of the remedies that make morning sickness bearable may not work for you. Luckily there's a medication now the Doc can prescribe. I hope you feel better soon. That is no fun. Just eat and drink what doesn't make you sick, even if it doesn't seem nutritious. I did very well with Lemon/Lime, Citrus or Fruit Punch flavored Gatorade with lots of ice. That was the only thing that didn't come back up. Take care. Feelin' for you.
Answer:
I bought some sea bands for my son at CVS. They were around $10. He swears they work for motion sickness.
Answer:
I was very sick for 3 months with all 3 of my sons, not my daughters though which is usually the opposite from what Im hearing. I layed on the couch for 3 months-literaly. I stayed away from sugar, it just made me more sick. Ive heard that if you eat saltines before getting out of bed (or off the couch) can help. Sorry, not much help, just try to muster through it. It will get better soon.
Answer:
I have heard that those sea bands worked and if you can't eat ginger, try getting a ginger candle and keeping some saltine crackers by your bed so you can nibble on then first thing in the morning. Hope you feel better soon!!
Answer:
Ugh. I'm sorry to hear that you are sick. I have also heard that the sea bands work. Has your doctor given you any other suggestions? Best of luck to you!
Answer:
I'm sorry you're so sick! I had really horrible m/s with my first dd, and nothing really helped. Basically, I threw up every day for about 10 weeks, and lost about 15 lbs. Hopefully you can find something that will give you relief, so you can feel better soon!
Answer:
Keep saltines by your bed, don't get up with an empty stomach. I was also told that putting a little jelly on them helps, the little bit of sweet. I didn't have any problems with Aidan, but the nausea with this one is about to kill me. I'm even having to get up in the middle of the night to eat something! And if I try putting off eating, Baby Bean lets me know I need to eat something NOW!
I've also been drinking 7-up, but Ginger Ale works too.
