Ask:
It was a show about high school kids and how to communicate. They did this major social experiment where they put groups of kids from different cliques in one room and had a seminar (kinda thing) about communication. It was very moving. It really brought home the point of how we as a society are missing out on the HUMAN ELEMENT sometimes. We get so wrapped up in ourselves that we tend to forget to reach out to those around us. Even the slightest gesture, sending a card, calling an old friend, a hug, is what people need to get them to come out of their shells.
It also amazed me at the stress levels and social pressures each of the kids were experiencing. All it took for them to open up about it, was having someone listen to them and not talk at them. One of the ice breakers for the group was to finish this sentence: If you knew me at all, you would know................., it truly was a moving experience to see them all care for each other.
It was a very powerful show and very effective. With the increase in violence in schools, I think more high schools should invest in a program like this. It will help others understand the people they share the hallways with. For more info check it out here:
Here is a link to the show. It's definitely worth watching, especially if you have school aged kids.
Answer:
I thought it was a very good show. It gave me goose bumps at one point wondering how many lives were changed in that school because of this experiment.
Answer:
I saw it and thought it was inspirational. All high schools should do this program. Hard to do with huge schools Im sure, but they should try. I think it would make a huge difference.
Answer:
It was a great show! I cried so much. I wish more schools would do this.
Answer:
I think that it would be a wonderful program to have in every junior high and high school. If they get it in 7th or 8th, then again in 11th or 12th, I think that things could be so much better!!! I think that it should be something that goes on for 2 or 3 days so that absent students still might get something out of it. If it is one day and someone is absent, then they miss the entire program. I was incredibly moved by it.
