My dh commented that when I cook I use every pot, plate, spoon and cup in the kitchen. And I have to say that's pretty true! I don't know why.... but I clean as I go, so it's manageable. I guess I'm not the McGuyver type- able to make a Thanksgiving dinner using one measuring cup and a fork. What about you?

I am a terribly messy cook! That's why I hate to do it. It would be nice to cook if I had someone to clean up the mess afterwards!

No. I clean as I go along, the only way you know I am cooking is there is a pot ont he stove! the counters are wiped down, spoons I use or bowls are washed immediatly. That was how my mom taught me.
On the other hand when Dh cooks I cant go in the kitchen! he uses everything in the kitchen and makes a mess and it freaks me out! I start cleaning and he gets mad at me! so I leave it till he is done and then clean after him.

I too dirty every plate, bowl, spoon, pan when I cook. Especially when I cook fried chicken. I get flour & grease all over. I cook breakfast every Sunday & I have a mess to clean up when I'm done doing that too. Now on the weekend DH cooks he has the kitchen pretty much cleaned up by the time he's serving our food. Don't know how he does it.

I try to keep my mess to a minimum. My messes are more splatters and spills. I don't usally use alot of dishes and I wash my unensils right away so I can use them again.

This is a two fold question for me. I like to use as little bowls, cups, utensils as possible but on the otherhand I cannot stand doing the dishes so there is amess at the end of the whole production!

I try to clean as I go since I don't have three sets of measuring cups so have to clean and reuse, and bowels and so on, but yes baking cookies there is flour all over....
