Ask:
Santa comes this week to Memphis (via the MALL!!), so I was curious to see who all takes their kids.
Answer:
Yep, every year. This year we'll be going to have "breakfast with santa" at a local restaurant this saturday while we're visiting my parents for thanksgiving.
Answer:
Yes, I often take them to different locations and get pics of them on each santa's lap.
Answer:
I do. It's kinda funny ~ my kids see Santa SOOOO many places as he works his way thru various stores ~ but they never think they have "seen" Santa unless they sit on his lap at the mall.
Answer:
Only if they want to. I hated doing that as a child and only did it to let him know what I wanted so it is easier for the older son to do it, but for the younger kids - not until they ask. And I sure would not take them to the mall. We have many, many opportunities to see Santa. My oldest was commenting last night that he saw Santa six times last year with school, squadron Christmas party, church, etc.
Life is too short to traumatize them for a photo op. JMO
Answer:
We go to a community party/breakfast that is coming up this weekend! Santa is always there and the kids can sit on his lap and get there picture taken. It's funny, because it is always the same guy playing Santa.
Answer:
No, for the first 4 years of DD life and 2 of DS, we had Santa 'visit' my Grandmas house on Christmas eve.(We moved 3 years ago and the tradition stopped ) So they got to see him there, and let me tell you, they DIDN'T like it! I have a picture of DS screaming running from Santa (mean, I know).... They do not like Ho-Ho up close! DD the last year we did it, went up to Santa to get her gift, but stayed an arms legnth away. They will 'look' at him in the malls, but not go up.
Answer:
Yeah, we try to. The pics are so expensive, but the kids love to see him.
Answer:
We always go to see Santa but I never force them to sit on his lap.
Answer:
