Ask:
Since we are having a tough time financially, this year for Christmas, I decided that what little we do spend outside the family will be on craft items to make things to give to others. I'm trying to come up with fun but meaningful activities for the children as well that won't cost alot of money...so for one activity, we decided to make things for nursing home patients to brighten their holidays. We have a new store in town called "Mighty Dollar" which is much like a Dollar Tree but with different items. I found these craft kits to make reindeer bookmarks there...and there are enough pieces in EACH kit to make thirteen reindeer bookmarks!! We will get to treat 70 nursing home patients for around six dollars. I'm going to make a single panel card out of card stock that says, "Praying Jesus is 'deer' to you this holiday season and throughout the coming New Year!" I will cut slits in it to slide the reindeer bookmark down in. If they don't read, they can use it to stick down in a flower pot or even as a Christmas tree decoration.
Answer:
That is cute. I'm sure the nursing home residents will be VERY appreciative of your thoughtfulness.
Answer:
Very cute!! And what a bargain to make that many out of a $1 kit!! You're a good mom to be teaching your children the holiday season isn't just about "me". Way to go!!
Answer:
That is a wonderful idea. So many nursing home patients (where I worked anyway) get nothing and would really love if your children deliver them!!!!

I know...I have a friend who goes FAITHFULLY every other Tuesday night and that's who we'll be going with. Her sister goes too and INSISTED that I take the kids with to hand them out. The residents will enjoy seeing the kids more than getting the little gift!

These are very cute and the price is amazing. YOu could also put these in cup cakes for a party . What a great idea to have the kids do these. We dont have a dollar mighty.
Answer:
Another thing I thought could be done with them also is instead of gluing the popsicle sticks on the backs of them, I could go to Hobby Lobby and get some of the lapel pin attachments to hot glue on them and give them as homemade teacher gifts from the kids as well.
Answer:
I wish I had a fraction of your creativity!!!!
