World Map

Ask:
Does anyone know where I can get something like this cheaper... I love the concept but not the price! my kids love the leap frog twister so I know they would like this...

Answer:

When you think in the perspective of games, 36.00 is expensive. However, if you start looking up maps, 36.00 is not that bad. I searched and searched for maps and had a hard time finding reasonable ones. I ended up buying paper ones at a teacher store for about 10 dollars. Well, then I took them around to get them laminated. Because they were oversized, stores wanted to charge a lot of money to laminate them. I can't remember the quote but it was too expensive for me.
If your kids are really into geography, I'd get this map. If you know a teacher that can slip a paper map into their laminating pile at school, then that is an option too.
If you look at pottery barn, they used to have a wall map that I fell in love with and it was around 100.00.
Ebay has some maps already laminated too!
Answer:

I have a wall size world and usa map laminated I got both for $16.99 at Costco. They aren't as big as the PBK one but they are pretty big. I would buy this if I needed a map, but I want it for the game and my kids are tough they would rip up anything if it wasn't sturdy.
and just for FYI if you have a Lakeshore Learning Store near you, they laminate CHEAP, like 25 cents a yard? I can't remember, but it's much cheaper than anywhere else!
