Any ideas

Ask:
I'm sure many of you have experienced this also. My two month old has that sweaty/stinky thing going on behind the ears and armpits. I usually clean him every other day so it won't build up so much. Does anyone have a method that can prevent this or keep it from happening so often? Thanks!
Answer:

Maybe when you diaper change him, just wipe a wet washcloth on the pits and behind ears. maybe a little baby powder.........
Answer:

I agree with baby powder. I don't know what else you could do. Maybe someone else does though.
Answer:

as long as he isn't overheated then i think all you can do is wipe it down daily with a washcloth.
Answer:

hmm! I've never heard of that! I guess I would just wipe him down and talk to the DR.
Answer:

I've heard baby power can help w/ that alittle. But then the baby pwdr can accumulate also! If you use baby powder, try using that liquid stuff. The little ones shouldn't breath in the powder particles--so they said in my birthing class.
Answer:

Actually, Desitin or other diaper rash meds will work, too. Make sure to wash and DRYy those areas very very well. That is what is happening...it is just moisture build up from not getting dried good, which just adds up over time when it might not get washed good, too. I think all of my babies had it....my babies were "fluffy" babies!
Answer:

All of my girls had that ! I know exactly what you mean. I don't think that anything worked 100%. But I would use powder and try wipe the areas clean with a cloth of some sort whenever possible. I know that I was so overly conscious about it, especially the smell. I always wanted them to smell baby fresh (and I am sure they did) but soem reason I could always smell that.... stuff!! Good luck. It will go away in a few months.
