Ask:
I was wondering when you took your baby for their first pictures. Kaylee is 5 weeks and I wanted to take her to JCPenny or somewhere to get some pictures done as all we have are ones I have taken. She was born at home, so no hospital pictures either.
I was just curious because I can't imagine getting her their happy and awake and looking at the camera. I was thinking about Santa, but I think I will save my money this year and wait until she actually knows what is going on and who he is.
Thx.
Answer:
We didn't have the hospital portrait either. I wanted them, but there was a mix up. I had photos taken at 1 mo. DS wasn't awake or happy But we have some cute pictures of his daddy holding him. The sleeping baby pictures are really precious. And if you luck out and get one w/ eyes open--that's just a bonus in my book! My philosophy has been to take as many pictures as possible (w/in reason) because my DS is only going to be this little once.

Answer:
I have gotten my kids taken every month the first year at JC Penney, so she was 4 weeks. Now we go to portrait innovations.
If you do go to Penneys, they have the coupon for no sitting fee, free 8x10 and 3.99 a sheet or 7.99 for a package. Don't pay more than that!
Answer:
Wow, I am behind! I wasn't even thinking about professional pictures at 2 weeks! I will take her to JcPenney soon - I have the coupons! Hopefully she will be happy or asleep and not a red tomato face when we go!
Thanks for the response. I didn't want them to look at me crazy when I showed up with such a little one.
