I am very very lucky in that I have an area pre-arranged for my tree. I have a cedar chest that sits there the rest of the year, but during the holidays, I can use it as a coffee table, as it is stained all the way around! My mom has put up her tree in THREE areas so far this year due to trying to find a place to get it to fit. How do you all do it?

Well, my living room is very small. So we have to move out some end tables, and move things around to get it to fit. I can't wait until I get a bigger home!!

This year I had to empty out the living room closet, put my bookshelf inside of it, and move the rocking chair aside to put the tree in the corner. Last year it was easier, as I just moved my bookshelf to the other side of the room, but this year our desk took up the whole corner, so there wasn't space for the shelves. It ended up being okay, as I put my nativity sets on top of our corner desk (they usually go on the bookshelves). Works out better anyway - 2 year old and dog can't get to them!

We have a pretty big living room ,so I just move my love seat to another wall and put it in front of the windows. 2 years ago, we had an empty corner (that now houses a rolling server) and it went there. But I like it in front of the windows.

!!! When I read the title I was like...Through the door - how do you fit it in??? I was picturing you having to take out some big picture window or something. I COULDN'T imagine what kind of tree you had.. !!
We are in a new house this year so we get the fun job of finding the new place for the tree. We are either moving a couch to put it in the corner...or the computer desk to place it in the middle of the house. Hmmmm...can't decide .

I have a formal dining room that's empty since I still haven't found the dining set I want in there, so we just put it in that room in front of the window that faces the front of the house. I love driving up and seeing our tree lite up in the window. I hate to think what we'll do once we finally get a formal dining set.

It was easy this year!!! When we moved I just said don't put anything else there, the tree is going there!!!! In our old house it went in the living room that we pretty much did not use for anything else.

I dont have mine up yet i know im slow. But i will be moving my couch down and moving both my floor lamps into the computer room. So far thats what i have planned ii hope it works out that way .
