Who ended up buying something for themselves while x-mas shopping?

Ask:
I was so proud of myself. I had nearly ALL my Christmas shopping done, when I hit a great sale at the Gap Outlet on Saturday. I did get a gift there, but I also spent about $70 on clothes for myself! Granted I justified the cost that it was all great deals, stuff I needed, I hardly ever buy stuff for myself, yadda, yadda, yadda....

Anyone else want to admit to the same thing?
Answer:

I did buy a Hanes black velour warm up suit for myself. It was on clearance. It is so warm, soft and cozy. Way different than my normal type clothes. It is funny cause my grandson thinks it feels good and likes to pet me when I am wearing it!

I took DS out yesterday to buy presents for his father - my former DH. We walked past the toys and I gave the speech 'we're not here to buy toys or stuff for you, we're here to buy gifts for your dad'. I had to give the speech a couple of times. Then . . . we passed the ladies clearance rack in the middle of the aisle and I couldn't resist. I ended up with a pair of cute workout pants for $3 but got glares from my son. He didn't say it but I could hear it in my head 'we're not here to buy stuff for you . . . '

I admit it...I did on Friday night, I was at Kohl's and they had microfleece pants in the juniors section on sale for $5.49...regular price was $26.00. I bought 3 pairs since I don't have any warm pants, plus these tie so I can wear them as my belly expands. Right now I'm almost 14 wks. and too small for the maternity pants so these fit the bill!

Answer:

I usually buy stuff for myself, if it is on sale and I really want it. This year, however, I just wasn't into spending so much. I only bought a pair of flannel shorts for $5 at walmart and a pair of boots that I am going to return since they don't look right on me.

I'm giving my kids a little money and letting my mom take them to the store so they can pick something out for me from them. I like getting gifts that they pick out, they get so excited about it!
Answer:

I did it on Black Friday. I bought some things for Christmas for others...but the Bath and Body Works visit....yeah - that was all me
Answer:

How funny! I also "happened" to stop at a Gap Outlet near the end of my Christmas shopping. I did buy a few things for myself, unexpectedly, and I did not even try to justify it (OK, so I DID try to justify it to myself!). I think we women really need to push away that guilty voice in our heads that tells us we are allowed to spend as much $$ as we want on others, but none on ourselves. For most of us, if we don't buy for ourselves, who will? I mean, my husband is a wonderful man, but he is not skilled in clothes shopping for me! I'm not suggesting we break the bank, but just indulge ourselves (sad that it's considered "indulging") a little from time to time. That keeps me from being bitter about pinching those pennies nearly every other day of the year!
Answer:

Oh yeah....I handed it all over to dh to wrap though.
