OMG, I've never added it up, I don't want to know!! You can be frugal or you can go all out, depends on your finances. If you breastfeed you don't have formula expenses which are pricey. Diapers, wipes, clothes, gear, toys, food. I probably spend a few hundred more a month but I buy pampers and gymboree and have 3 kids. You can buy generic and probably get by on much less.

I think I spend a lot more when they are little but I have 3 in diapers.So my diaper budget for 3 is around $ 350 or so maybe a bit more ( I added it up but could be off and it equaled $425) but I buy huggies. Then add formula for my it is around $150. but she is on soy which is a bit more expensive. But I also buy wipes, clothing ( generally from old navy, kohls and Target ) ect....It is expensive that is for sure! You can be very frugal though by buying store brand diapers and go to second hand stores for clothes.
It all adds up quick!
