Ask:
I have a big girl and she will soon be in 3s. We have come to LOVE pamper swaddlers. We tried Pamper Baby Dry and they sucked - she got diaper rash and they kept leaking. They just didn't fit right. I am scared to try anything now as I think they will be a disapointment compared to the swaddlers. Any suggestions as to what to use once we are into the size 3?
Answer:
Buy small packages and see before you spend $ and not like them. With all 4 of my boys I used and am still using Huggies.
Answer:
I started out with Swaddlers on Aidan, then Pampers Baby Dry. One day I tried Luvs, and I love them.
Answer:
I went to Luvs, too, after the Swaddlers. We never had a problem with leaks or rashes. By the way, what is she weighing now?? I just remembered, after posting this, that she is less than two months old. My oldest dd came OUT of diapers at 19 months...in a size THREE!!! I think the rest of mine didn't go into a four until their first birthday. She must be on some kind of good food, Mommy!!!! I LOVE it!!!
Answer:
Pampers also makes Crusers. that is what I would say would be the next choice up that are the same as swaddlers. I was buying them until Pampers came out with the flex side tabs, so how I use them.

She was born at 9lbs 10oz. At 1 month I think it was 11lbs 6 oz (90th percentile all around). We will see next week what she is at now!
Breast milk all the way, baby!

I like Pampers Cruisers (the purple packages). I do believe they are meant to follow the swaddlers. I have never had one leak and they fit great. You can find a good price on them in large boxes at Target. Around 100-120 diapers for $25.
Answer:
I;ve tried just about every brand out there and I have found that I like Target Brand or Rus brand (not the fancy ones, the least expensive ones). IMO, even with a coupon, the store brands are the cheapest per diaper and work just as well. Target seems to be the cheapest in my area unless Rus puts their brand on sale, then they are soo cheap I buy at least 2 cases and save the receipt in case I need a bigger size when I get to a new case!
With ds I do have to buy the huggies nighttime diapers though. I tried the diaper liners (look like thick pads) and they didn't work. He even soaks through the nighttime diapers on occasion!
By the way, the Rus diapers and CVS diapers are exactly the same!

My little diva is a chubbawubba. I really liked the Swaddlers. I kept her in Baby Dry for awhile, but had two problems as she grew: they leaked at night much more and they were just feeling a bit too tight. I found that the Huggies Supreme fit much better. I had the same experience with my son years ago, and he wasn't nearly as chubby.
