We've been watching a lot of HGTV trying to get ideas for the new house.
I thought about applying to "Design on a Dime" and "Get Color" only to find out they only take people living in LA for those shows (boo hoo)
If location was not a restriction, which show would you apply to? What room would you like done?

I like "design on a dime"...most of the time...I think I would be too worried about the outcome.
I would like to do "Get Color" for my bedroom.
Actually, the show I think we are in most need of right now is "Curb Appeal"

Clean Sweep!!! I need them to come in and organize me- I think that once I'm there I could keep it up, butit's the getting fully organized that is my problem. If they'd come in, redo a few rooms and start me off from scratch I think I could keep it up afterwards. Not to mention I'd love a room re-do

either Get Color or Divine Design. I watch like all the shows, but when I think about how each show crew would do my living room/kitchen (which is what I'd pick to be done), the shows I feel most at ease with are the two I mentioned. I love Get Color - the host is never "out there" or wrong in her choices, simply because she goes with the color wheel, so everything always looks asthetically pleasing and CORRECT (unlike the nightmarish grey camo room Hildy did on Trading Spaces, for example).. Some of the shows have good intentions but they don't end up with a room that would be suitable to continue living in. I won't ever call a show to come into this current house though, as I know as soon as they do, we'll move and someone else will get to enjoy the transformation while I try to reproduce it in my other home

Trading spaces would be a big fat NO!!!!!! I personally do not like furniture made out of MDF board!!!!! And they paint it, ick! Cheap looking!!!!! I like design on a dime (the show is produced in MPLS, MN not too far from here!!!!!) I also like get color, that gal has a knack for color!!!!! My old secret sister from last year is an interior designer from MPLS, MN with her own design business!!!!! MaryCate, but she doesn't post anymore!!!!! I like the redesign show too!!!!!

I think any show that could help me with decorating my living room! It's got a weird shape with 16 foot vaulted ceilings and a built in entertainment center and all. I thought it was great when we bought the place, but now 6 years later, I wish we could have color and with that high of walls, I don't want too much color!! I need any help!
I suck at decorating.
