DH and I watched The Family Stone last night (it has a pretty large cast - Sarah Jessica Parker, Dermot Mulroney, Diane Keaton, Luke Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Craig T. Nelson, Claire Danes). We couldn't figure out if it was a drama, comedy , or what. It was an interesting movie - not what I'd consider a particularly GOOD movie, but not terrible. I remember when it came out there was a lot of anticipation and it didn't get great reviews. I was just curious about the opinions of those who may have seen it. I found it a little bit odd.

I might be alone in this but I absolutely LOVE this movie. I watched it on HBO the other night, and taped it so I will watch it again. Great cast. I think it is considered a "Dramedy"???

I enjoyed most of this movie....Some of it I didn't and I think it was b/c as Oregano pointed out, they could have developed the characters a bit more. Over all I liked it.

i didn;t mind it. i generally don't watch movies expectinga great deal. saves the dissappointment. i just liked the part where she said i don't care if you like me and rachel mcadams said aww... yes you do. that was good part.

I liked it! but I didn't LOVE it. I didn't like the ending, it felt like there was unanswered questions. I'm a weirdo that loves every detail in movies, and I don't like it when they leave stuff out. In this case, they left out the whole switching sister/brother thing. I know its obviouls what happened, but I would have like to see something else on it.
