I've never sold anything on Ebay but I always want to. I always hear everyone complaining about the prices they charge to list and by the time all the fees and everything are paid they hardly make any money. I'm wondering if it's even worth it to start and what are good things to sell anyway.....

Well...I must be the oddball here, but I think the fees are very reasonable.
The Ebay "IT" campaign has been one of the "most memorable" commercials for the last two years running. Think of what kind of money you would have to pay for a commercial like that for your items. I think Ebay also provides lots of helpful services to sellers that more than make up for the fees. Think about it...they send buyers that add you to their favorites emails to let them know what you are offering, you can do advance searches to research what items you would like to sell will go for, they send notices when an item you have been watching has been relisted (I have kicked myself for forgetting about an auction and gotten this notice and been thrilled), they let you send second chance offers for free, etc., etc., etc.
When I take all that I get for my 40 cent listing plus my 3% final value fee into consideration, I think I am the one getting the deal.

I agree, I try to only sell things that will be worth my time, I have always done well on ebay

I'm with ssusan2971, I have never sold anything on ebay, but want too, but not sure if it's worth it. I don't have a whole lot, but any little thing is better then nothing. Can anyone give me some good advice on what they think about selling on ebay?

Yesterday Ebay had .20 listing day for auction and fixed price listings. I wait til they have promotions like that to list alot of stuff. The only thing is they don't give hardly any notice. I got a email in the morning and so I had to list the same day. Sometimes they give a days notice and it lasts two days. It is great because it doesn't matter what your starting bid is it is only .20. Just an idea.
