My just turned 4 ds has discovered nose picking. Though it doesn't stop there he brings it to his mouth!! We tell him not to that he can get sick and that it is gross and he just smiles and says "but I like to" What can I do? I don't want him to be the gross kid!

My kid is the gross kid too. I have caught him doing this and i just keep telling him it's dirty and that boogers are just big gobs of dirt....and he can get sick. What else can ya do?

i told my son how your body gets rid of toxins and bad germs through that stuff in the nose, and how that mucus catches nasty stuff trying to get in. We have a microscope. He was grossed out enough to stop and use a tissue for those nasty germs.
It worked with potty too-not holding it in because toxins could build.
