Ask:
Hello! I think Flybygrace mentioned in a post that she uses Colorcatchers. Do you throw everything in together? This would be helpful as I could do a load every night instead of waiting to have a full load of whites, mediums, and darks as I do now. I already use cold water for all but sheets and towels but I have been too chicken to toss things in together. Do many of you do this?
Thanks!
Shannon
Answer:
My laundry loads consist of 1 load ~ my clothes,1 load ~ Dh clothes, and many loads ~ kid clothes. Never in my life have I ever separated a load by color. I do hold out new things that are strong in color and wash them by themsleves the first (or second) time, and occasionally I will pull out whites and bleach a load....but for the most part I never have had a problem not separating. I guess it comes from trying to stuff in as much as I could when I needed to conserve $$ at the laundry mat. I haven't tried Color Cathers...I just have never had the need.

Thanks Kelli! This really would make things easier! Dh won't have pink boxer briefs?
Answer:
Well I will never guarantee Oh - forgot to mention I wash EVERYTHING on cold (to conserve our use of propane for the water heater)...I have never had anything NOT come clean.
Good Luck!
Answer:
The only thing I constantly seperate are my whites, towels and sheets....and they are all washed on Hot. Everything else, I do a light color load and dark (If there's not enough to make a full load I combine and wash on cold).I have never had a problem.
I tried the color catchers and find them handy with new items- this way I no longer have to ash it by itself for it's first few washes, but honestly, that's the onlything I use them for, so I bought a box almost 2 years ago and still have half a box!
