Some people living the simple life don't wear any make-up at all. I like to wear some but my goal is to keep it simple. One of the ways I try and do this is not to have too much and to use up what I have before I go buy something else. I have also heard that in order to avoid infection, mascara should be thrown out after three months.
This is what I have for make-up.... It's about as simple as I could get.
1 'one step' combination foundation / powder
1 concealer (for dark under eye circles)
1 lipstick (I only wear this on special occasions)
1 tinted lip gloss (I wear this everyday)
1 mascara (which I buy new every three months and throw out the old one)
1 eye shadow kit (4 neutral colors in one package)
1 eye liner
1 bottle of eye make-up remover cream

Well since i use to work in the Dillards cosmetic department I use to wear a lot. But now I rarely wear makeup. I have bad skin so its hard for me to go out bare faced but Im working on it.
In my bag I have
1 foundation
1 mascara
1 lip liner
1 lipstick
1 eye liner
1 blush
that is my everyday stuff, but I also have eye brow powder and eyeshadow for "fancy".
I was such a cosmetic snob and I had bags and bags and boxes of the stuff. After haveing the girls I got tired of the work it took to keep it up. Then when I decided to go simple I felt it was time to toss it all out. I gues you could say its the new me. I would like to feel comfortabel enough to get rid of makeup all together but Im not sure I will ever get to that point. It part of my personality.

1. Mascara

3. Light colored eyeshadow
4. ....my favorite splurge item is Perscritives Camalflage kit. (Good for hiding bags under the eyes and blemishes) It's the best!
5. And then, chapstick

I don't wear a lot of makeup, and I don't carry any with me except at night if we're going out for the evening, I might take a lipstick/gloss with me but to tell you the truth, I hardly ever reapply. I always think I will and then don't.
I use three products daily, first a dual finish powder (can be used wet or dry) - I love the one by Lancome and have been using it for over 10 years...it gives a really natural look without being cakey or too powdery. Then I use mascara and lip gloss or lipstick. That's it.
Sometimes I use blush, I like "Cedar Rose" by Lancome and "Dandelion" by Benefit.

My Make-up case indicates I am not simplistic in this department! My regulars are a bare escentuals face powder (covers up fantastic!), an all over face color (also BE), mascara, sometimes liner and lipstick or gloss. Now how many of each of these I have....way past simplicitly......

That's all I use. I only have one of each item, except I do have two shades of lip gloss and "real" lipstick for when I go out. I only have one eye shadow compact - all neutral shades. I used to have much more but tossed it and haven't missed anything!

I rarely carry stuff with me places; I think I'm going to touch up and never do and I got sick of dragging it around. I would like to find some new products that last longer and are nicer. My SIL does makeup beautifully, but you should see her huge bag of stuff she carries around in her purse! I can't carry all that stuff everywhere! I think they need a more streamlined way of storing cosmetics. Maybe if the containers it came in were more streamlined it'd be easier.. some of them are awful bulky.

I don't wear much and the only reason I wear what I do is b/c of my job. But I have a moisturizer, foundation, powder, eyeshadow and mascara. I will occasionally go farther than that if I'm trying or have time. I also have some stuff for the occasional "night out" but its not in my regular makeup bag
