Ask:
Here is a start for the "point system" Thread. I will have it stickied to the top! I think that I will do one for Motivated Mommies as well.
Answer:
Does anyone know of a website that gives point totals for everyday foods? Not eating out ones....just ones you eat at home!
Answer:
To make sure that Weight Watchers does not feel we are violating copyright laws, it has been decided to pull this info from the board. If, as my friend, you would like me to answer any questions on how I diet with a point system, please private message me! Sorry about that!
Answer:
Wow thanks alot this will be really helpful! Thanks for putting all of the leg work into it!!!
Answer:
I don't know of a website that offers it. But if you go up to a meeting now while registration is free you can get all the booklets and you just have to pay for the meeting. I paid $5. when I went, but that was last year. But i didn't go to any meetings after that I just di it myself. I can look up points for you if you need any.

Goodness, yes!!! I used etools for two weeks with the free trial and just could not justify the extra money!! Go to and sign up for their FREE newsletter (you don't have to be doing WW - anybody can sign up!)! You will get an e-mail every week with an inspirational story about somebody doing WW and about 5-10 recipes with points! It won't teach you the program, but you get some great recipes.
In fact, I made one from a newsletter last night that was very tasty! It was cheese enchiladas! YUM!
There are some great websites, too, with WW recipes. You can google WW recipes and a ton will come up. My favorites are: and . Neither of them are WW sanctioned, but still a great resource. They are women that have been through the program and in one case has come back after a backsliding time.
My latest favorite website, thanks to a member in my meeting: . She has AWESOME recipes!!
I hate a ton of tried and true ones I could post, too. And I would love some new ones from you guys, too! If you have not seen my potato soup recipe, it is posted in the low cal section and is AWESOME! (Well, it is not mine, but somebody at a meeting I was subbing gave it to me. I wish I could find her again to thank her! I gave it to a lot of people now and only one person did not like it.)

You know, I make it a point to take a recipe for my members every week. If you guys want, I could post it here, too. Since we had a ton of new people last week, I took the potato soup recipe. This week will most likely be either the pumpkin cake or the pineapple cake that I love to make. I would also love to see some of your recipes! I try to use one new recipe a week!
Or we could post daily journals to get new ideas of what to eat. There are a ton of ways to support each other. Jennifer started a thread about snacks that was helpful.
I am a firm believer that new recipes (that are easy and have been recommended by somebody) are some of the best ways to succeed on WW - along with support, determination, and a few other characteristics.
Let me know if you guys want me to put them here, too. I don't want to overwhelm anybody or be a board hog! I just get really enthusiastic about WW as it worked for me when nothing else did. AND, I have kept most of the weight off.
Oh, and WHERE you want me to put the recipes. Maybe we can ask to have a WW or points section started in the food area?
