Ask:
I just had to share with you, I called this morning and got my tickets to see Taylor at the House of Blues. We got bar seats and a dinner voucher. Not until March 31st but its something to look forward to!
Answer:
Cleveland then? I'll see him 2 days earlier in Chicago. I sort of wish I bought Cleveland tix instead because I could drive there on Saturday (3 hours) & drive home Sunday instead of taking the train 6 hours to Chicago on Thursday, seeing the show Thurs. night & spending the weekend & coming home Sunday. It will be a fun weekend, but I'm taking 2 vacation days & spending a lot on a hotel.
But, hey - I get to see Taylor. Did you hear that his keyboardist from his original band, Brian Less, is going on tour with him? Probably not because you don't spend half your life on Taylor boards like I do. Brian is incredible on keyboards - his hands just fly. Should be a good show. Taylor says he's putting all the money he would make on the tour right back into it - 10 people on stage w/ instruments & backup singers. Big show.
Answer:
I think a weekend in Chicago will be fun for you and your dh, yes the train ride will be long just bring a good book! We only live about 15 minutes from the House of Blues so are commute will be short. I am surprised he isnt performing in Detroit?
No I didnt know that info. I was just so happy this morning to get those tickets. They had a small presell on Thursday and I guess the sold out in basicaly 2 minutes.

Answer:
Several of the venues sold out. I bought the Chicago tix because no Detroit date was listed. Cleveland wasn't listed until a couple days after I bought Chicago. I figured w/ Chicago on Thursday & Cleveland on Saturday that he would SURELY be in Detroit on Friday. But I booked Chicago because I just knew he wouldn't perform in Detroit unless I bought tix for somewhere else. But no Michigan show has materialized. He's still adding dates, but it looks like he's adding west coast dates next. If he does suddenly schedule a show in Detroit for that Friday night, I'll sell the Chicago tix & stay home to see him. But otherwise we love going to Chicago, so it'll be a fun weekend. We've never gone by train before, but it makes sense as it's only like $55 per person, and the train station is a mile from the house.
