Electricity savings tip ...

Ask:
Install nightlights throughout the house.

A nightlight bulb is less than 5 watts, many new ones are often less. Even if you install 10 nightlights throughout your house, you are using less energy than one 60 watt lightbulb.

A well placed nightlight will save you the hassle of flipping on a light switch just to walk through a room or to walk into a room to quickly get something. If you don't turn on the light switch to begin with, you don't have to worry about turning it off.

Our nightlights all have daylight sensors on them. They only turn on when the area is dark.

We do that too. I got a pack of energy efficient light sensitive night lights that go on automatically when the light is low. They work great at night in the hallways and in the bathrooms. They last for years and hardly use any energy at all.
