Would you let your "ex" do this......

Ask:
Stay at your house to babysit, while you were on a trip???

My sister and her new boyfriend are planning a trip for Valentine's Day. He ex-husband can not keep the kids over night (because he lives with his parents and they won't let him). So, she is letting him stay at her house to watch the kids.

I am sorry, but I would be telling my boyfriend "so, sorry, but I can't go". I just can't believe how desperate she gets at times. Just to make sure that she gets "a real life" as she puts it.

It just drives me insane that she gets like this. It is more important for her to be on this trip, than anything else. Not to mention what that will do to the kids that "Daddy is at home".
Answer:

I wouldnt trust my ex in my house as far as I could throw him. I can trust him with advice and things like that though.
Answer:

It's not that I don't trust my ex.. I really don't have much of anything that is of real value to him here anyway. I just wouldn't want him in my house. Heck, I don't even want him coming to my door to pick the kids up. However, if I was in a REAL bind and needed to have someone watch my kids for overnight trips, he would probably be 3rd on my list of people to ask. I would definitely have rules for him and my kids are old enough to tell me if the rules are broken. LOL
