Ask:
Some people have really creative ways of telling someone (dh, mom, sis, children, etc.) that they are pregnant, and other people just tell them straight-out. How did you tell the people in your life that you were/are pregnant?

we told alot of them at Christmas when we was all together about 60 people....lol

I went to lunch with my 2 best friends and brought in a shopping bag because I wanted to show them some new clothes I had bought - of course they were maternity clothes. They knew we'd been trying to get pregnant for a year and had pretty much guessed the reason for the lunch but it was still fun to see their expressions!

When I told my dh I got a baby bottle and put in the pregancy test results. (Yes I had the bottle just in case) however it was his bowling night so I went up there and put it in his bag which he didnt notice until he went to put his ball away, his friends probaly thought he was nuts getting all excited. It was funny.
As for the rest of the family we went to both our parents house and told them. my brother was living with us at the time so I told him as soon as he walked in the door that night. Everyone else I called on the phone! Mind you I couldnt hold it in long as we had been trying for so many years!!!!

We found out a little bit before Christmas with our first. We signed our Christmas cards (just my family and dh's) from me, dh, and the newest addition....who they'll meet in August (she was actually born in Sept., but my due date was late Aug.). I was soooo nervous...excited and happy, but nervous. More for my in-laws' reaction.

I told my mom on her birthday. I wrapped up some baby sleepers and baby socks that said "I love grandma"and "I love grandpa" a bottle with some candy in it. She didn't know we were trying to have a baby so she was more than surprised.

With Quentin, we happened to be going on vacation to my inlaws house when my parents & one of my sisters were going to be there too. So, we got future grandparent cards & gave them to our parents one night. I called my other sister before we left to tell her, since she wasn't going to be there, so she knew before anyone else in the family.
With Ian, I made Quentin a t-shirt that said "Future Big Brother, January 2006". We took pictures of him in it, and then emailed them to everyone on Mother's Day.

It was mothers day and we gave my mom a card with our names and soon to be grandchild written in it.
My MIL we gave her a frame that said Grandma on it.

With our first, for my parents we sent them each a pink and blue balloon with a note from baby saying see you in 9 months. For my in laws we made them a candy/food poster saying that we were "Prego" with a "Baby Ruth".
With our second, I took the pregnancy test while dh was at work. So when he got home he opened a package with a little girl and boy onesie in it.
We didn't do anything special for my parents and we told the in laws on my mil b-day and signed a card from Big sister Dacia.
