Ask:
Going to the library can save you a lot of money. I can't remember the last time I actually paid to rent a movie (we don't even have a movie rental membership card anywhere anymore). I very rarely buy books (only for gifts and the boys), and check out a lot of magazines too. Some libraries even circulate unusual items like speciality cake pans, video games or free museum passes. Almost all libraries now offer free internet access (and a lot are even getting wireless connections) & subscriptions to magazine & research databases. Most libraries also offer a variety of free programming, such as weekly storytimes, summer reading programs, adult book discussions, and even free movies. Sorry, this starting to sound like an ad for libraries, but as a librarian, I know that many people only think of libraries as places to check out books, & don't know about all the other services that libraries often offer .
