Does your child "act out" a movie/cartoon?

Ask:
A week ago my 4 year old, Megan and I watched a Flintstones movie. It was an old cartoon when Pebbles and BamBam were older and Pebbles has twins. Anyway, ever since then my daughter wants to play this every night. I am Wilma, DH is Fred, Megan is Pebbles and my 2 year old, Abby is Dino LOL

My hubby is getting a little fed up with it. I think she just has an imagination and she likes playing with her dolls in her new rocker.

Do your kids do this?
Answer:

ALLTHE TIME!! My 5yo dd will act out everything from tv shows/cartoons to waitresses, cashiers, photo takers, and even my boss! It's hysterical and yes all part of being a kid!!

My stepson used to act out power rangers and that became a problem so just watch what they see on tv especially.
Answer:

We do a lot of "Dora" type adventures at our house. Complete with backpack, map, songs...etc. Also, Barbie and the (fill in the blank) is a big hit.

Times haven't changed much...I remember being little and playing Wonder Woman and Adam-12 with our neighbors.
Answer:

My three year old likes to act out scenes from Star Wars - epic lightsaber battles and all. He comes by it honestly though since my husband used to have his mom hold him upside down by the feet while he acted out the scene where Luke Skywalker escapes from the Wampa in Empire Strikes Back (when he was a little kid of course).
Answer:

Well, our little ones sure do have imaginations. At least she is acting out Flintstones that I love and used to watch a lot when I was a kid, it could be worse.
Answer:

Yes! D-o-r-a.
Answer:

My ds is 5 and has been doing this since he was like 3. We have been characters from everything from Star Wars to Nick Jr shows to Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet! Every time he watches a movie he'll run and get all the action figures he has from that movie and act it out. He uses is imagination all the time doing this, substituting Dollar Store army men in place of Luke and Han Solo before he got those action figures. He's really into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles right now and even our cat must play a role as Shredder! He is too funny. He tells each of us who we are, I'm always Pade or Princess Leia when we do Star Wars and my 19mo old is Yoda, since he's small and my dh gets to be Chewy since he's pretty tall and can "talk" like him.
Answer:

We are also on a Star Wars kick right now too! I'm glad to read that others let there kids watch them. I was worried that they might be too young(4 and 6). Although we have not let them watch Episode 3 yet. My dh says that it might be a little too violent.
