Ok - I can't think of anything that seems like fun, and my Dd just wants to copy one of the ideas from the paper. Anyone got any ideas they can share? Please???

Why don't you make some sort of pencil can or storage container by gluing 100 pieces of pasta on it? Cheap and different, you can even paint it afterwards.
You could also use pennies, also not expensive and easy to come by.

you could buy a cheap picture frame, 2$ to the most, and glue macaronis on them , painted or otherwise still plain, different shapes and sizes, or even shells, put inside the picture of your dd's class...

Last year, my son took in 100 rolls of smarties and shared them with his class afterward.
How about 100 legos into something.

I saw an ad, I think it was in Parents magazine. It was for a giant cookie with "100 Days" painted in frosting on it. You could make it with 100 chocolate chips or 100 raisins.

What about a popsicle stick structure? Like a house or maybe a maze glued onto cardboard and then use marbles to go through it
Have a "snow day" and make 100 tiny snow flakes (using scissors and small pieces of paper)

I LOVE the ideas ... what do ya'll think of this??
Making a countdown calendar (teacher can use year after year) counting down the 100 days of school. We could make it out of felt and hot glue, decorating it with various school supplies. It would have 100 pockets and I would let my daughter fill them up with something for this year. But next year the teacher could fill them with something and let a student (or herself) take one out each morning. Some of the ideas I have to send along to fill it up are the following...
Letters, #'s or colors - discuss the letter or # or color picked
Candy - whichever kid picks it out that day would get the candy
Dimes - have each kid bring like 10 dimes on the first day to fill the calendar. Then as you pull them out, place in a jar - save up for snack on the 100th day.
School Supplies - pull out and discuss what each is used for etc...
Does that sound like a stupid idea?? Would you use it if you were a teacher?
