Need Some COLOR advice

Ask:
OK, so my house is a bit...schizophrenic right now. The main areas are light blue (Behr Rain Water), and the dining room is a color washed mesh of three green colors. They actually look pretty good together. My problem is that I don't know what to do with the kitchen that adjoins both of those areas. It's currently a turquoise color (Behr Cool Jade) and it just doesn't go. I wanted to do a yellow but I'm not sure if it will "mesh." Anyone have any ideas??? I don't want to do the kitchen in the blue or the green.
Answer:

What about a neutral color such as a taupe, off white, tan, etc. Something like that might work to tie the 2 rooms together.

You are way ahead of me though! Weve been in our house for close to a year and I havent even begun to paint yet. Our living/dining room, kitchen and family room all are connected so any color that I paint the walls has to coordinate w/ the other rooms. So for now it will stay white until I get up the nerve to attept it.
Answer:

I agree something neutral would prolly look great. I've been in my house for just over a year and we've only painted the bedrooms. my kitchen is wine bottles and grapes. i'm hoping to get some waynes coating for under the chair rail in maybe a mauve the chair rail is white and above the chair rail is a tanish color and the top is a border of wine bottles and grapes.
Answer:

Yep, neutral walls sound good. Kahki is great! Then buy some rugs, towels, curtains, and art work with a combination of the three colors (blue, green & yellow).
Answer:

I just repainted my kitchen from blues/greens to a nice gray color and fauxed one wall with a plum accenting the decor w/ sage green to match my grape theme.
I would take the suggestions of the ones saying go with a neutral color. I think a light grey would look nice with the blues/greens the taupes might throw the look off and look to brownish yellow.
The right color yellow like you're talking about will probably look nice.
Let us know what you decide!
Answer:

I think the right color of yellow would look good. I would go with a very pale yellow - something that just looks like sun hitting a white wall - then your room will look 'sun filled' not painted yellow. To integrate it you could bring some accents in to match the other rooms. And put bits of yellow in the other rooms.
