Ask:
Did anyone see it last night? I love this show & I think that last nights episode was good for those of us who live in the real world. IE: the kids weren't obnoxious or totaly out of control. I think it showed us how to improve our own skills.
My complaint is: did you see the mom yanking the kids around during the "back to bed" drill? Maybe I'm a sensitive person, but I felt soo bad for those kids the way Mom was yanking them up by one arm, dragging them around and throwing them back in bed. Now, I know she was very tired and very frustrated, but she could have picked them up from under the arms! DD has actually pulled her elbow out (called nursemaid's elbow) when she pulled her feet off the floor while I was holding her by the hands! We never pick up any of the kids by the arms anymore!!
No offense if ya'll think the way she physically handled the kids was OK; I just want to get a feel for how others feel.
Answer:
That was the only part I saw. And I did notice it, she had spent 2 hours trying to get them to bed, and the nanny was sitting outside talking to her through and ear piece and she did call her on it, and told her dont pull the kids like that, they will know you are frustrated if you drag them like that.
I would be more upset if the nanny hadnt picked it up, but she did.
I might have doen that too, it was very frustrating watching it even
Answer:
I was thinking the same thing when she was grabbing them by the arms and flinging them into bed. I never did that w/my DS. It was a good episode other than that though. Clearly those parents really needed some help & guidance, I'm glad they got it!
