Need help feeding my 11 month old!

Ask:
Hi! I'm new here, and I'm not sure if this has been posted lately. I wanted to go back through the threads, but I'm a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids, so I don't have time right now! (Gotta go play Batman!) So, if it has, please humor me and help me out! Anyway, I have an 11 month old little girl who I have a hard time feeding. She is SOOO picky. Right now she eats yogurt, cottage cheese, pancakes, malt-o-meal, and the occasional string cheese. I need some ideas on what you feed your babies!! I've tried "hiding" the veggies, but she finds them and spits them out!!! Please, please give me some of your "menus" for your kids who are around the same age!!! Thanks!!
Answer:

MY daugher, at this age, could find a pea in a spoonful of chunky peanut butter...and spit it back out without loosing a drop of the pb!!! I feel your pain. Basically, just keep introducing new things...and re-introducing the old things you have tried before. Try things that are similiar to those she already likes, too. I keep a 13 month old full time, and he is just now expanding his meals a bit....with a lot of work and consistency from ME!!

My dd is not a big fan of vege's either but I can still get her to eat a lttle baby food so I still buy a few jars. She loves fruit so the doctor said she can get alot of what she needs from them. I give her bananas, tabletime fruit dices and she loves canned mandoran oranges. I make her tuna sandwiches and cut it in bite size pieces. I also cut up chicken in tiny pieces. Baked beans, cut up pizza. Everything gets cut up in pieces some are so tiny they look pre-chewed. Also vienna sausages.
Answer:

At that age, she can be pretty much eating whatever you are eating, Just keep offering a little bit of everything. They really don't need to eat too much at 11 months.

I was surprised by what my youngest dd actually did like! For instance, I would make pesto pasta with the chicken and broccoli on the side, and she wouldn't touch either of the side items. But once I mixed them all together, she gobbled it right up! Sometimes if you mix it with food she likes, it may just do the trick. My kids also eat "Veggie Booty" it's like the consistency of cheese puffs but it's all natural, very easy to dissolve, and has lots of green veggies mixed right in. It's found in the natural food section of many grovery stores. Good luck!
