Thank you! I am really looking forward to hearing about everyone's ideas, challenges, successes, etc. I've tried to meet with other HS in our area and become discouraged every time. HS is becoming a "fad" in our area. It seems that many want their children homeschooled, but want someone else to do it for them. And, every time that I have become involved with a group, it has led to them wanting me to teach the group math and science (I have a BS in chemistry and had a brief position teaching at a prominent private school and worked as a private tutor after DS#1 was born). After I politely decline, I am then made to feel guilty for not using my talents to teach the children. But, it was our vision (my DH's and my) to use my talent to teach our children. If I wanted to teach everyone else's children, I would have gone to work as a teacher in the public or private school system and gotten paid for it ! At any rate, I am thrilled to be a part of here and look forward to sharing with and learning from everyone here!
