Pork Chops & Rice Bake

I kinda threw this together the other day and it turned out really good.

Pork Chops & Rice Bake

4 large pork chops, cut off bone
black pepper
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 celery stalk, sliced thinly
1 box of wild rice
1 envelope of dry french onion soup mix
3 cups water

Sprinkle both sides of chops with pepper. Heat oil in skillet. Brown chops about 1-2 minutes on both sides. Set aside. Saute celery until softened.
Preheat oven to 350. Mix together uncooked rice and dry soup mix. Mix in celery. Spread all out in a baking dish. Lay chops on top. Pour in 3 cups of water. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
