I have waiting since the ski season opened to get our DS into ski lessons at Grand Targhee resort. I was asked to wait until after the holidays and things to settle. It seemed like they just didn't have time for us but we didn't give up because DS lesson was discounted and our church paid the remaining balance.
We also found out that Jackson Hole Mountain Resort also has an adaptive ski program.
Hunter went to JHMR on Friday for his first lesson and his teacher took him off the edgy wedgy! He skis like a rock star! He is so athletic. Then today we went to GT and he had another private lesson with the director for 1.5 hours. We watched the beginning of the lesson and them we took off. We had 1 hour to rip it up and so we did. Nothing epic, just solid groomers but we rode our snowboards. It was fun to finally be able to have fun and take pictures and just goof off. When there is powder we are so hard charging! Fun but not family fun.
We got Hunter and they invited him back for a group after lunch. We went back and he stayed for only a short while. He was tired and they all knew what was going on as they had been skiing together for weeks. But he did try and did ok.
We let him quit the group and DH skied with him and rode. We had fun again just being together.
With all the bad days, one after another, it was nice to have a good day!
