Regift Challenge: Make Someone's Day

Ask:
Here at the end of a long, cold January, someone somewhere needs to smile.
And YOU can make it happen.

The challenge: surprise someone with a "regift"- something you ALREADY HAVE and don't have to go out and buy. It could be a book you know they'd enjoy or something you own that they've admired. It could be a batch of cookies or an hour's babysitting or a cutting from a plant. It could be anything- the point is just to make someone smile- because it's the little things that make life great, isn't it?

I am planning to surprise my nephew with an 18 year old gift (see my blog).

Let's post how it goes...
Answer:

I gave our babysitter a set of glasses that I had that was extra and a new pledge duster kit. My sister sent me coupons for 5 Pledge dusters so the dusters ended up being free. My babysitter was so excited . Plus this afternoon my coworker didn't have lunch and I always keep a spare Lean Cuisine in the freezer so I gave that to her.
Answer:

I actually did something like this last week, my DS's pre-K teacher had been asking for us to bring in any extra hats and gloves that we had for the kids when theirs get wet, well I really didn't have any b/c I had taken a whole bag full of socks, mittens & hats that my son had out grown to goodwill, soooooo, I asked her if she could use some extra jackets, and she told me that she sure could and that there was a 'family in need' at the school and anything that my ds had out grown would be great for this family, so i gathered up 2 bags of clothes, socks, jackets & pj's and took them to the school, the teacher and the school administrator were thrilled!!

I will lose out on some money by not being able to consign this stuff, but I do believe in "pay it forward"
