Need some Homeschooling Advice!

Ask:
I really value your opinions and need some help. Do any of you homeschool one child and send another to school? My ds is in 3rd grade and he is not thrilled about the idea of being homeschooled. He does very well in school and he enjoys it. My dd on the other hand is in K and she loves the idea of it. I know I'm the parent and I could just take him out of school, but I'm really torn here. I feel that he just thinks he would miss his friends.
Thanks in advance!
Answer:

Okay, I'm not a homeschooler, but I butt in all the time here Two of my very best friends homeschool, one for 8 years and the other for over 20. Both of them have sent a child (or two) to school while homeschooling other(s). The one mom has two sons, and one of them is in public school because he wanted to go and he was making her life miserable by complaining about being home schooled all the time. The other is still at home happy as a little lark. My other friend had her two oldest in a christian high school while still homeschooling her younger children. So it can be done. Just whatever works best for you I'd say.
Answer:

While I don't personally, I have heard of it alot. Some children flourish in a school setting while others do better at home. I would trust your instints!
Answer:

I agree with these ladies. I don't do it either, but I know several who have for various reasons, and it has worked fine for them.
Answer:

My best friend does this with her two kids. Her oldest did take a year off of public school to "try it" at home, but in the end, he needed that social part of public school, I think. At home, he turned into a timid, non confrontational, no opinion, meek child. Once they put him back in public school, he flourished again! Their youngest, who is a girl, not only HATED public school, she had anxiety attacks there. She is best at home with her mom!
