A few months ago I totaled my van hitting a deer. My insurance was quick to pay their part but I had GAP to pay the rest. I fought with Nissan to gove me an extention until it was paid, they agread to give me 2 months , they sent me the form and I went to town and mailed it back the same day. Next month I get a bill saying I was chared a late fee!!! I call them and they tell me I didn't send the paper back on time. YES I DID. Of couse they believe they are right! I found out my Gap still hadn't paid so I asked for another extention she says no her supervisor says no! Says I have to pay the $382. by the 10th of Feb.----on top of my new vehicle payment of $402.!!!!! I called GAP who was nice and said he'd do his best to spead things up or try and get Nissan to give me more time. Well to get to the good part--I called this evening to see if anything had been paid so I could figure my bills and Yes it was there and looks like ther's an Overpay of around $993.51!!!!! I am so thrilled!!!!! They tell me to call back Tues to be sure the exact amount.

It is amazing how they alway want their money. But you have to fight to get your money back. Thank god for gap insurance

Good for you. Yes, I am always amazed by the slow boat my money takes to get back to me. I just received a reimbursement from a doctor for 2005 medical expenses that they made me pay within 45 days because of an insurance mix-up.
