We've been "on the fence" for a year about whether or not to have another baby. I've had 3 difficult pregnancies and am terrified to go through another one. Anyway, we keep going back and forth, back and forth... and just as soon as I say "Ok, let's give it a go..." I freak out and become immobilized with panic/fear.
So, then I decide we are done...no more babies. I start imagining selling all the baby clothes, toys and dismantling the crib and I'm overcome with sadness, like, this can't be it!
Well, dh finally said we need to decide because he doesn't want the gap between kids to be too big. Also, he wants to put this chapter in our lives behind us, so we aren't hauling diaper bags around forever, taking babies on vacations.... we'd like to eventually move on and be done with the baby stage. So, he said he is FIRM about not wanting a baby in 2008. Well, that means NOW or NEVER!!!!!
A friend of mine suggested just "going for it" for a couple months.... like playing russian roulette, and if we haven't gotten preggers by April or May, well then we are done and that's it!
Sooooo this was the first month of russian roulette and I'm freaking out! EEEEK I could be pg and I'm kinda scared. This is going to be a longgggg wait!

I think I can understand how you feel about now or never. We only have one and had always planned to just have one. Last month, I suggested to DH that he pay a visit to Dr. Snippy so I wouldn't have to be on the pill. Out of the clear blue sky, he starts talking about how he doesn't want to do it just yet because we need to be sure we aren't going to try for baby #2. The verdict is still out at our house but I wish you the best! Hope you find out soon!
