Wow! I love Aldi!

Ask:
I have been there before but never to actually try to save money and get a lot of groceries. I went yesterday and got a cart full of stuff for $34!!! I was so thrilled. Then we went to WalMart for the rest of our groceries and spent $80! Not even half a cart full. But, I'm thrilled about the Aldi's purchases.

One step in the right direction of being a future frugal SAHM!

No, not really. They have a lot of food and some personal items at discount prices but they are not brand names. I saved so much!
Answer:

Do you have to bring your own bags and bag your items? Do they take coupons? How should an Aldi virgin prepare herself?

Yes, you do have to bring your own bags -- unless you want to buy them there or you can use boxes they have - but they aren't too sturdy and you can't count on them having any empty. You have to pay $.25 for your cart - but you get it back when you take your cart back. I don't know if they take coupons since it is not brand name items you probably don't have any you can use anyway.

I love it too...ours is starting to get name brands in it...but still love it...I use to like savalots but not anymore..lol...it is the place to go to for cheap fruit and veggies and bread

I love them too, but I noticed last time I went (they are 30 minutes away, so I don't get there that often) they had gone up on their canned veggies. I think they are 35 cents a can now as opposed to the 29 they used to be. Has anyone tried their meat? I have to drive into Tulsa on Wed. so I am planning on a stop there and at the sunbeam thrift store (all bread is 1/2 off on Wed).
Answer:

I love Aldi's also. They have good prices on presents also around Christmas time ($5-10 cheaper than Walmart). They don't take coupons but they do have a policy where if you aren't satisfied bring the item back and they will give you your money back (the one I go to gives the money back in the form of store credit).
