Ask:
I am having company starting on Thursday, and will have guests until Tuesday afternoon.
This can put a big dent in my grocery budget, but I am determined to make a menu and stick to it.
Well, I looked through the cupboards and freezer and think that I have enough basic goods to make the dinners I need!
I will probably have to get some basic stuff like milk, bread etc. but this shouldn't hamper my overall Feb. grocery budget.
Wish me luck (and I'll take hints or suggestions too!)

Answer:
My only advice is stick to something you can make quickly and easily without a lot of mess. We usually have tacos or spaghetti. Or I make something like enchiladas ahead of time so I only pop them in the oven that day. Gives you more time to enjoy the visit and less hassle.

Good Luck!
A couple good things you could make that could also be lunch the next day - or even supper again are: Chili - you could make a big kettle of chili and have taco salad with it for supper and the next day have chili or chili dogs for lunch. Meatballs - make a big pot of meatballs and make spagetti for supper and have meatball sandwiches for lunch the next day. Just a couple I have done

When I have company i usually make a chicken pot pie. I can really stretch it with lots of veggies and use up the dark chicken meat (my family prefers white ..... but the chicken comes with both) in the freezer. Yummy
