Simplify your life cleaning tip

Ask:
Today I had company coming and didn't have time to vacuum the throw rug in our bathroom. I remembered dh got me a new lint roller in my x-mas stocking, so I ran and got it. I simply rolled it over the top of the rug and it picked up all the fuzzies and it looked great!! I had just vacummed it the other day, but it wasn't really dirty just had some carpet fuzzies on it (it is black with a brown/white leaf pattern). It worked great! This is what I'm going to do now for those in-between cleanings. Just made my life more simple!

Had to edit to add that I'll bet this would work great on stairs too. Stairs are such a pain to vacuum so I simply forgo it unless I'm doing the heavy cleaning, in-between I just let it go because it isn't too bad. However, this would be quick and you can just do the visible fuzzies, not the whole stairs.

Thank you for the tip. I will have to try that I have cat hair and am always vacuuming.

Hey Great Idea! We have a dark blue rug in our living room and it's constantly full of fuzz, cat hair etc, even after I haul out the vaccuum and vaccuum it...and perfect for stairs too, I hate to vaccuum stairs. I could probably use it for my cloth interior of my car too, I have long hair so constantly hair everywhere...!!! THANKS!

I hadn't thought of trying it on the lampshades! Great idea!!! I can't wait to get home and try this! !

Stormy - great idea on the rug too. I use ours on our couches because of the extra dog hair around but hadn't thought about running it across a rug!
